Hi, I'm Claire.

A Fun Fair Wedding at Chateau de Tourreau

Wedding Venue

V&A decided to say YES and celebrate their love at the beautiful Chateau de Tourreau in Provence, last summer.

They challenged us by asking for an unusual theme: The fun fair.

Our Colombian bride and her French groom wanted their wedding to be a true reflection of their couple: An outgoing and fun duet.

They didn’t want to have a traditional celebration, but an original wedding, which everyone would remember. Having a fun fair themed wedding seemed to be the perfect fit for them, because after all what could be more fun than that?

The rehearsall dinner took place in the middle of the olive tree fields, in the gardens of the Chateau de Tourreau.

A “sweet summer night in Provence”, with delicious Provencal food from l’Eveil des Papilles and delightful bistro music played by quintet Les triplets de Belleville.

For the table decor we used rustic wooden tables, a voluminous garland of greeneries, touches of gold and we brought some magic to it with candles and garland lights.

On the wedding day, the ceremony took place in front of the beautiful courtyard of the castle, our florist l’Art Qui Pousse, had arranged a magical arch of flowers in front of the main wooden door, where the bride and groom said “yes” to each other for the rest of their lives accompanied by the beautiful trio of violinist Lady’s Orchestra.

After the ceremony, the guests enjoyed a cocktail party, where the mixologist Shake Your Event made custom cocktails, in the middle of a fairground set up in the gardens of the Chateau.

To recreate the atmosphere of a real fun fair we hired a Ferris wheel, a carousel and a giant chessboard. We also organized some activities like a make-up workshop, generously proposed and realized by the talented Elsa Beauté Salon, a cotton candy workshop, pop-corn and an ice cream workshop.

Let’s be honest.. The technical challenge of creating this fairground was real!! We had to bring the Ferris from Switzerland and face some technical difficulties but making our bride and groom dream come true is what makes our job so beautiful and interesting.

The dinner reception took place in the gardens of the Chateau, near the fountains, under a marquee with a wooden floor, installed by the amazing Be Lounge. The decoration of the dinner was chic and floral, with an elegant tableware from Maison Option, contrasting voluntarily with the theme of the wedding fairground.

For the dinner dishes we had another challenge, the bride and groom didn’t want a traditional appetizer/main course/dessert, but a “Family Style” meal, sophisticated but family friendly.

The bride and groom also wanted a custom menu that blended the influences of Colombian and French gastronomy. The menu was entirely bespoke created by the talented caterers of Eveil Des Papilles.

The wedding day was also accompanied throughout, by music. During the ceremony we called on Lady d’Orchestra and their beautiful violins.

Then the cocktail party took place with the music of Swing Vendals, for classy and jazzy atmosphere. And to finish the party, we had a dance party with the Gypsy Queens.

During the wedding we also had to to deal with an uninvited guest.. the rain! But it didn’t spoil the day, on the contrary! Everybody laughed and ran under the tent. Luckily it only lasted 15 minutes! And as they say in France “mariage pluvieux, mariage heureux” which means “rainy wedding, happy wedding”, which was the case.

A few words about the Chateau de Tourreau.

This luxurious haven of peace offers complete privatization of the place including the gardens, the rooms and its 9 suites.
