Hi there! Welcome to our blog, a showcase of articles we are featured in, experiences, wedding, and travel tips. Stay a while and say hello!

Hi, I'm Claire.

How to choose your wedding stationery?

Our Tips

If you are obsessed with details as much as we are, you know that wedding stationery is something that plays a huge part in your wedding design and visual identity.

As every couple is unique, I like working together with artists/designers who will create a complete wedding stationery design, tailored to your needs.

The wedding stationery should be a true reflection of who you are and of what the atmosphere of your event is going to be.

From the choice of paper (cardboard, glossy, thick, thin, vintage…) to the typography and the color palette, but also the printing technique (digital, letterpress) and the accessories such as wax seals and ribbons. The possibilities are endless!!!

What are the stationery items you are going to need?

– Save the dates

– Wedding invitations

– Place tags

– Seating chart

– Menus

– Ceremony booklets

– Food and drinks labels

Sending your save the date and wedding invitations is often seen as one of the most exciting steps of the wedding planning process.

But do not rush into it! To achieve a consistent visual identity, we do recommend using the same color pantone and the same typo for all your stationery items.

Creating your own logo with your initials for example, can reinforce this feeling of consistency and create a unique visual identity for your whole wedding.

We also want to create a feeling anticipation for your guests.

All your stationery items will be used on your wedding day as part of the accessories used for what we call the flat-lay pictures.

Here is an example of flat-lay made by Valery Villard:

The process of creating the perfect invitation to complete your vision and design is detailed in different steps:

– The printing technique: Hot press – letterpress – numeric

– Choice of a cardboard : Quality and color

– Ink colors

– Accessories such as ribbons and wax seals

As in fashion, trends are changing !! This year we have received many requests for printing on acrylic and for gold sketches of venues.

Below some of my favorite wedding stationery designers.

Depending on your tastes and vision I will recommend one or several designers to fit your needs.
