Hi, I'm Claire.

A Provence Chic Wedding at Chateau de la Garde

Wedding Venue

L&A chose the beautiful Chateau de la Garde in Provence as their wedding venue. The wedding spanned three days, filled with love, joy, and fun.

Welcome Cocktail

To greet the out-of-town guests, we organized a welcome cocktail the day before the wedding with a “soirée blanche” theme. We considered having a formal dinner, but the couple preferred a more relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere where guests could dance.

The cocktail party took place in front of the castle, with its stunning beige facade as the backdrop. The catering was exclusively provided by Roland Paix, known as one of the top wedding caterers. We chose the jazzy group Les Botticcelis to provide soft yet danceable music.

Wedding Day

The Ceremony

The ceremony was held in the lush gardens in front of the Chateau de la Garde. A magical flower arch in beige and pink tones, created by L’art qui Pousse, adorned the end of the aisle. The arch was designed to complement the natural surroundings, featuring abundant foliage and pampas.

The Cocktail

After the heartfelt ceremony, a well-deserved cocktail party took place in front of the Chateau. The menu included delicious bites from the caterer and customized cocktails.

The Dinner

For the dinner, we chose a captivating location at the back of the Chateau amidst a pathway of plane trees. The setting was breathtaking, featuring a magnificent glass roof and a fountain. The guests were seated at a long and unique table, while a separate table near the fountain was reserved for the bride and groom to interact with their guests.

To create an elegant table decoration that blended seamlessly with the surroundings, we opted for blue and gold tableware. A floral pathway adorned the center of the table, incorporating branches and flowers reminiscent of the ceremony arch. Each guest had a small bottle of olive oil as a souvenir of Provence, a charming alternative to traditional wedding favors. Strung lights from the trees along the tables created a magical starry-night ambiance for the dinner.

The Party

The dance party took place beneath the glass roof, allowing us to continue playing music until the late hours.

The Brunch

The following day, a brunch featuring delicious dishes by Roland Paix was held at the same location as the dinner, along with a pool party. This provided the guests with an opportunity to enjoy the company of the newlyweds and the stunning venue one last time before returning home. The Chateau de la Garde also offered a sublime swimming pool and a tennis court for those who wished to relax or engage in more active pursuits.
