Provence is full of beautiful places to get married, but I have to admit that the Chateau de la Garde is one of my favorites.
L&A came from New York to celebrate their love with their friends and family.
It was a 3 days wedding, where love, joy and fun were the order of the day.
To welcome the guests who came from far away, we organized a “white party” welcome cocktail the day before the wedding.
The bride and groom wanted a friendly atmosphere.
The cocktail party took place in front of the castle with the magnificent pink facade as a backdrop. A buffet with live stations and locally sourced products for Provence delighted the guests.
For the music we wanted something entertaining so we opted for the jazzy group Lizzy and the Gentlemen.
The ceremony took place in the gardens of Chateau de la Garde. A magical flower arch, in beige and pink tones, created by L’art qui Pousse was as a backdrop to exchange the bride and groom’s vows.
Following the emotional ceremony, the cocktail party took place in front of the Chateau next to the fountain. On the menu, delicious cocktail pieces from the caterer and signature cocktails.
The reception took place outside, at the back of the chateau. The setting was breathtaking, with the magnificent glass roof and the fountain.
For the table setting we opted for a long and unique table for the guests, and a top table for the bride and groom, which allowed them to see and enjoy all their guests.
For the design, we wanted something chic, but that would blend perfectly with the spirit of the place, so we went with a blue and gold tableware, and a flower garland as a table runner with lots of branches and flowers in the same color scheme as the ceremony arch.
As a wedding favor, we placed a small bottle of olive oil on each plate.
To illuminate the dinner and give the illusion of a starry night, we hung garland lights from the trees all along the tables.
The dance party took place inside the conservatory, and the guests danced the night away!
The next day was the Brunch and a pool party. We hired a pizza truck which was fun.
This allowed guests to enjoy the bride and groom and the beautiful venue one last time before going back home. And we must admit that a little dive in the sublime swimming pool of the Chateau de la Garde to recover from the emotions of the day before is not a bad idea.
The domain also has a tennis court.
